Then I remembered a solution to a very similar problem in Planescape: Torment. I was getting extremely low framerate and lags, a single bullet would fly for like 5-10 seconds. With this instruction I can start my JA2 on Windows 8, but after choosing difficulty of game, i see just a black screen and hear menu music. Just like the original poster, I am also finding that it will take a bullet up to 5 seconds just to travel to the target. I am also getting extremely bad framerates playing JA2.it is very frustrating because I love this game, and paid for it on GOG, and now it won't work well enough to even be remotely enjoyable on my only available computer to play it on. Sorry to revive a semi-old thread, but I'm hoping for some answers here.
